    Heaton Stationery is benefiting from improved van efficiency and fuel savings, following the introduction of a satellite-linked computer management system. The package was developed by vehicle tracking specialist Masternaut Three X and enterprise software company, BlueSky, to ensure that Heaton sends out more efficient van loads. Working in real-time, the system incorporates satellite tracking for Heaton's fleet of delivery vehicles and sales representatives.

The appliances are updated every hour with the latest spam data, processing e-mail through 12 defence layers and analysing messages to determine what is likely to be spam. A 500 sheet paper tray is available to receive documents, with secure PIN access where required, so faxes can be retrieved only by the intended recipient.

Zenithoffice can now track its delivery vans in real time, with the PDAs replacing paper delivery notes through electronic signature capture.

Packs will be branded with the Marie Curie Cancer Care logo and 10p from every pack sold will be donated to the charity.

    Duraweld has been awarded ISO14001, a series of international standards on environmental management. Assessors from ICS Registrars (the Quality Assurance Registrar for the manufacturing industry) spent time at Duraweld's factory and, after analysing its environmental management system, recommended Duraweld for accreditation, stating: ‘The successful outcome of this assessment is the result of a significant team effort and this was clearly demonstrated by the enthusiastic commitment to the system from all personnel'.
