Fellowes launches Workanomics programme to eliminate repetitive strain injuries and back pain
Published:  06 May, 2009

Fellowes, the leading supplier of workspace solutions, has launched a nationwide Workanomics programme to help people achieve a healthier and more productive workspace via proactive ergonomic training, workstation assessments and ergonomic product recommendations.

Repetitive strain injury is a serious problem. According to the UK Trade Unions Congress (TUC), it is estimated that RSI related injuries could cost the UK economy up to £20 billion a year (source: Repetitive Strain Injury Organisation, UK).

TUC has also stated that 500,000 workers in the UK have reported a repetitive strain injury with a total of 5.4 million working days lost due to sick leave in one year and approximately 6 workers will leave their job daily due to repetitive strain injury.

To prevent work related injuries, Fellowes has created a Workanomics step-by-step guide on how to set up a workstation correctly - this is available at www.fellowes.com/workanomics.
